Brunei To Be Involve In 14th
MiniBizCon

Begawan - Delegates and traders from Brunei Darussalam,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines- East Asian Growth Area ,(BIMP-EAGA),
as well as China and Singapore, are expected to attend the "14th
Mindanao Business Conference (14th MinBizCon) to be held for two days
from September 15 in Davao with aims of finding new niche markets and
expanding their business networks.
Organisers
said that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and other top political
leaders of the host country would also join them in Mindanao on
September 17 for the event.
They said that President Arroyo is
going to give updates on the Mindanao Action Agenda (MAA), which was
drafted at last year's MinBizCon.
The MAA cited the business
community's call for a federal Philippines, solutions to the looming
power crisis in Southern Mindanao, as well as the development of Small
and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
President Arroyo will arrive during
activities on September 17.
The 14th MinBizCon is estimated to
gather at least 500 businesspeople in Mindanao to focus on federalism
towards improving the economy.
Mindanao Business Council (MBC) will
also push for a tourism industry to be included as one of its priority
areas for development. --
