Village Treat And Hospitality For Thai Officers

Bandar Seri Begawan - Four officers from Thailand's Foreign Office and National Identity Office received a warm welcome from the Mukim Berakas `B' consultative council during the Thai delegation's visit to the residence of Penghulu of Mukim Berakas B', Haji Ismail bin Apong.

The Thai visitors who were accompanied by several officers from the Information Department, including Acting Deputy Director Haji Yussof bin Haji Ladi, made the trip as part of a familiarisation programme and to enahnce personal contacts with the local community.

The Thai visitors were shown the traditional way of making local cakes and handicrafts. They also sampled local fruits such as cempedak and rambutans.
