Freak Mishap Kills Foreign Woman

Bandar Seri Begawan - A freak accident claimed the life of a young foreign woman yesterday in Gadong.

According to eyewitnesses, the foreign woman, believed to be working in a restaurant, was struck and pinned under a truck that reversed down a hill in the area.

The heavy truck also damaged four cars that were parked along the hill as it came down.

Eyewitnesses said the truck had to be moved forward after it came to a halt to free the woman, believed to be in her 20s, trapped under the vehicle.

She reportedly died a few minutes after she was pulled out from beneath the truck.
