Brunei delegates at Asean workshop on disaster mitigation, management

The Asean University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net) Workshop on Disaster Mitigation and Management in Asean countries has initiated several ideas towards research and human resource development in the field of Disaster Engineering and Management.

The workshop was held in Phuket from August 3 to 4 and arranged by AUN/SEED-Net.

It was joined by 29 experts from Asean countries and Japan who shared information and experience on natural disasters especially tsunami and earthquake. They also discussed their roles in terms of research and human resource development.

At the end of the event, they agreed to collaborate on educating more experts in disaster mitigation and management field.
