Thai Delegates Visit Brunei-Muara

Begawan - Yesterday morning, four senior government delegates
from Thailand's Foreign Office and the National Identity Office kicked
off their visit to Brunei by paying a courtesy call to the BruneiMuara
District Office.
The Thai delegates were Mrs Sasinand
Jamornmarn, Director of Media and Information, Management Division,
Foreign Office, PRD, Mrs Ratana Meemanatrakulchai, Senior Information
Officer from Foreign Office, PRD, Ms Pannipa Anakesampan Senior
Information Officer from Foreign Office, PRD and Mr Nopporn Boonkaew,
Senior Information Officer from the National Identity Office.
Upon arrival, the delegates were
welcomed by Date Paduka Haji Adnan bin Haji Hanafrah, Brunei-Muara
District Officer and Haji Jamain bin Momin, Assistant Brunei-Muara
District Officer. Also present were Haji Bujang bin Haji Masu'ut,
Director of Information Department and other senior government
officials.
The delegates were briefed by Haji
Amir bin Azman, administrative officer at the Brunei-Muara District
Office, on the responsibilities and organisation structure of the
Brunei-Muara District Office. A question and answer session followed.
Next, the Thai delegates paid a
courtesy call to the Prime Minister's Office, followed by a visit to
Mukim Berakas B in the afternoon.
The visit by the Thai delegates to
Brunei is part of a programme signed under a memorandum of
understanding between Brunei and Thailand in 2001, to facilitate
exchange visits by both countries' government officials. --
