‘Changing Mindset’ Workshop For
Moe Officials

Begawan - A three-day "Changing Mindsets/ Changing Wizard
Workshop" for Directors and Assistant Directors from the Ministry of
Education kicked off yesterday.
Around 30 people took part in the
workshop, which was held at the Chancellor Hall, UBD. The workshop was
facilitated by Malaysian speaker Dr Victor SL Tan, Chief Executive
Officer of KL Strategic Change Consulting.
According to Cikgu Hj Abdul Hakip bin
Hj Burut, Assistant Director, Permanent Secretary Office, Ministry of
Education, the proposal for the three-day workshop was conceptualised
by, the Ministry of Education, and discussed and moulded by Dr Tan a
few months ago.
"This workshop can bring about ideas
for change in ourselves, in our teams or departments, and to the
larger system that surrounds us," Cikgu Hj Abdul Hakip added.
According to Dr Tan the workshop will
help participants better equip and prepare themselves in accordance to
the changing era of globalisation, and in this democratic and digital
world. The workshop would also boost participants' confidence in their
working environment and while meeting other people or confronting
challenges.
Topics to be discussed during the
workshop include `Lesson of Change from World Class Organisations',
`Assessing the Level of Complacency in MOE', 'Understanding Mindsets',
Four Classes of People and Reasons Why People Do Not Perform',
`Lessons of Mindset Change from World Class Leaders' and `Determining
the Key Areas for Personal Change'. --
