Crown Prince Visits Defence

Begawan - His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee
Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's
Office, yesterday consented to make a working visit to the Ministry of
Defence, Bolkiah Garrison.
Greeting the Crown Prince on arrival
were the Deputy Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Singamenteri Col (L)
Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yasmin and Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed
Force (RBAF), Pehin Dam Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awg
Hj Halbi.
Also welcoming HRH were commanders of
the Royal Brunei Navy; Royal Brunei Air Force and Royal Brunei Land
Force, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretary at the
Ministry of Defence, and senior officers at the ministry and RBAF.
Upon arrival, the Crown Prince
consented to a royal salute by personnel of the third battalion. This
was followed by a group photo.
HRH later attended- a briefing on the
structure and organisation of the Ministry of Defence.
After the briefing, HRH visited
various units of the ministry and signed a royal parchment in
conjunction with the working visit.
The working visit to the Ministry of
Defence was the first since HRH was awarded the rank of General.
Yesterday's visit also marked the
start of HRH's official duty at the ministry where HRH will be
resuming work on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Consecutive working visits to the
