Brunei's WBC taking part in Women
Leaders Networking seminar in Korea

Women Business Council (WBC)
representatives led by its president, Datin Hjh Edah Hj Md Noor,
yesterday left for Daegu Korea to attend the 10th Annual APEC Women
Leaders Networking (WLN) seminar.
Also participating in the event are
WBC Vice President Datin Paduka Hjh Rokiah, Hjh Rosmah and Norhayati
Abu Bakar.
The WLN seminar, which will run from
August 23 to 27, will be focussing on the issues of micro-credit and
incubation. The WBC president is one of the speakers at the WLN
seminar where she will be presenting a talk on 'Future Direction and
Rebuilding of WLN'.
According to the WBC representatives,
the main objective of their participation at the seminar were to
update business information in the APEC region specifically for women,
to expand business networking with other regions as well as to observe
new studies on economic plans of APEC.
WBC
of Brunei Darussalam was established in 2000 and currently has over 80
registered members who are mainly women entrepreneurs in the local SME
market industry.
The 10th APEC WLN seminar will serve
as a platform for the presentation on the promotion strategies and
current trend of SME policy for the APEC member economies.
