Courtesy call to Pehin Lau Ah Kok

The Executive Committee members of the Hockian Association of Brunei Darussalam recently paid a courtesy call to Pehin Kapitan China Kornia Diraja Awg Lau Ah Kok at his residence in Kg Manggis.

The BSB Chinese Chamber of Commerce also paid a visit to Pehin Lau Ah Kok, led by its president, Mr Robert Koh.

Members from the newly established Ladies Entrepreneurship Committee, led by by Jong Siew Fah, were also part of the delegation. Also present was the head of the Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs, Mr Lim Ting Guan.

According to Mr Lim, the visit was to thank Pehin Lau Ah Kok for his support and contribution to the newly established Ladies Entrepreneurship Committee of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

He pointed out that the Young Entrepreneurs and the Ladies Entrepreneurship committee would be organising a Mooncake festival to be held at The Mall in Gadong on September 16.

Meanwhile, the Hockian Association Brunei would also be organising a "Hockian Night" to be held on October 8 at The Mall, where singing contests would be part of the programme.
