CID Raids On Karaoke Centre, Workers' Quarters

Bandar Seri Begawan - An unlicensed karaoke centre in Jalan Bengkurong Masin was raided Friday night and its equipments confiscated in a CID operation led by Jerudong's Acting Investigation Officer, P/ASP Irham.

Two waitresses, a couple of clients and the owner were taken to the Sengkurong police station for questioning.

There was also another operation yesterday codenamed "Operasi Suluh 16" to find illegal workers in the Sultanate.

Eight men and two women from Indonesia, who failed to produce valid travel documents, have been brought in for further investigation after the workers' quarters in Kg Mulaut were raided. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
