Brunei Participants To Attend International Arts Camp

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local participants will join delegates from countries of the Middle East, Central Africa and the Association of South East Asian Nations (Asean), for a camping event in Dieng, Wanosobo, Indonesia from August 23 till 26 aimed at fostering good' relations among people of the world.

Entitled International Arts Camp, the event is co-organised by the Indonesian Universitas SainsAlquran (UNSIQ), Central Java in Wanosobo, Biro Humas and KerjasamaLuarNegeri DepartemenAgama.

Apart from Brunei Darussalam, camp participants will come from Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar and Timor Leste.

At the three day camp, participants will undergo various activities including sports and international cultural shows.

A foundation-laying ceremony for the construction of Baitul Quran building will be officiated by the Indonesian Religious Minister, KH Muhammad M Basyuni at UNSIQ Jateng Complex, in conjunction with the camp on August 24.

On August 26, an international seminar on terrorism and people welfare in conjunction with the camping activity will be held at the Aula Al Ala, a campus at UNSIQ Jateng Complex. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
