Flight Attendants Warn Against Air Rage

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local flight attendants warned their passengers to act with decorum onboard aircrafts, citing inexcusable unruly conducts of some that had created disturbances in the past.

"Such behaviour amounting to air rage will not be tolerated and the matter would be brought up to higher authorities if it continues," commented a crewmember.

The Weekend was told that some customers would bully the attendants, shouting abuses and complaining about everything they did.

"We understand that people could go berserk on a flight due to stress, but for a person to do it every time they fly is a little too much to handle, they said.

They also hoped for in-flight security to assist any unskilled crew.

"There must be a way to deal with those who constantly have air rage.

"They must be forced to see medical experts for prescribed pills prior to boarding.

"If these individuals are properly treated, then perhaps they would be quieter during the flight," they added.

Aviation experts meanwhile said that air rage is caused by cabin environment, a place high in toxic chemicals and allergens, as well as low in air pressure and oxygen. "Curtailment of fresh air in airplanes could be causing deficient oxygen in the brain.
