DST Revises Charges For Prima And Easi

Bandar Seri Begawan - DST has unveiled revised charges for both its Prima and Easi service from August 15, 2005.

The implementation of GPRS technology further enhanced the uses of data services as Mobile e-mail, Mobile Internet, Downloads and MMS that can be easily acquired by such both Prima and Easi subscribers at affordable costs.

Subscribers are now able to register for a Prima service at any DST Group Counters with the new registration of $175 for local (personal & corporate) and $375 for foreigners (personal & corporate).

A normal number selection is now offered complimentary while Golden number selection will now only require an additional $50 service charge from the previous $400. Other valued offers are the "Replacement of lost or faulty SIM Card" is now only $10 whilst "Change of Directory Mobile number" is reduced to $10 from the usual $100.

Golden numbers are now predefined by the last 4 digits, which consist of repetitive number example 8871111 applicable to both Prima and Easi.

The revised Starter pack can now be obtained at a reduced price of $50 from the $77 for Normal Starter Pack while Golden Starter Pack is reduced to $100 from the previous $177.

Easi customers will still be able to enjoy and attain the same quality benefits as before with the revised prices. Further change of prices includes the replacement of lost or faulty SIM card worth $10. Customers who wished to upgrade SIM Card from 8k to l6k can now get it at $10.

In addition to an expired recharge card, DST also announced a forfeited credit issue where customers can now request for a refund of their forfeited amount within one week from the date of expiry credit at any DST Group branches.

The condition for the rebate is only applicable to a maximum of 2 requests each. The amount rebate for 1st time forfeited credit will be at 80% of the balance amount carried forward and a 2nd time forfeited credit a 50% rebate.

Customers are advised to recharge their credit account prior to the rebate from DST. DST also has introduced a new tier rates concept for IDD 095 for Prima and Easi, which allows longer talking time.

Data services such as MMS within DST network are currently charged at $0.30 per MMS sent for both Prima and Easi while mobile Internet access is $0.015/kb and $0.020 for Prima and Easi respectively.

A spokes person for DST Group stated that the revised charges are a part of DST Group's efforts to provide enhanced value on its current products and services while improving the quality of its customer service. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
