Anduki Hosts Remote Control Boat
Competition

Kuala Belait -
A remote control boat competition and water lighting display
was held in conjunction with His Majesty's birthday celebrations at
the Anduki Recreational Park yesterday and on Saturday night.
Forty two participants from teams
from Brunei Darussalam, Miri, Bintulu and Sarawak competed for two
days in the five categories of the remote control boat race.
The chief guest yesterday afternoon
was Acting Head Engineer of Belait District Public Works Department Pg
Ali bin Pg Haji Mohammad. He presented prizes to the winners of fun
sports competition, tug of war competition, water lights display, the
remote control boat competition category A, B, C and D, the most
beautiful boat and Championship Keputeraan category.
Meanwhile on Saturday night, the
public watched a boat lighting display show at the park. Chief Guest
was Head Education officer of Belait District Schools Department Awg
Ramli bin Abd Rahman.
There were performances from
Musikarama and traditional entertainments such as Irarna Gambus and
Bermukun.
The remote control boat competition
was organised by Kuala Belait Electrical Services to instill
solidarity between the committee members, remote control boat
enthusiasts and members of the public. --
