18 Officers Undergoing Training On IT Security

Bandar Seri Begawan - Eighteen government officers attended an `IT security awareness training course for end-users' at the Service Civil Institute in Rimba, Gadong yesterday.

The course, which is being conducted in batches, is aimed at increasing the level of understanding of IT security among the participants.

It is being facilitated by the Information Technology Protective Security Services (ITPSS).

Among the topics which would be discussed include: taking necessary actions in the event of a security breach; identifying the major sources of security vulnerabilities; and how to `protect, detect and react' when incidents occur. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
