Bandar Seri
Begawan - A group of thirty young students from the Sultan
Abdul Mubin Primary School (SR Sultan Abdul Mubin) in Kg Sungai Besar
took a museum excursion yesterday morning.
The educational trip was organised by
the school's English and Malay departments. The main aim of the visit
was to present the various ethnic cultures, history and developments
of Brunei Darussalam.
The Pre-School students comprised 11
girls and 19 boys and were accompanied by four teachers. The Museums
Department provided free transportation to cater for the students'
visit.
The school, which is only ten minutes
away from the Brunei Museum in Kota Batu and the nearby Malay
Technology Museum, organised the educative first hand excursion which
was meant to benefit the students of the school.
The aim of the trip was to help
create better understanding through `self experience'.
First stop for the pre-school
students was the Malay Technology Museum, where they were greeted on
arrival by Museum officials.
The officials presented an
informative tour of the Malay Technology Museum before taking the
students on a guided tour of the Brunei Museum. --
