Call To Visit Comatose Actor

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local actor Madun Hj Jaludin is currently fighting for his life at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Raja, lsteri Pg Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital because of kidney ailments.

Friends are urging his acting counterparts to visit the 56-year-old actor, who has remained in a comatose state for nearly three weeks.

"He has suffered kidney ailments for a while now, but nearly three weeks ago he was admitted to hospital after the collapsed.

"He has been in a coma ever since, and is relying on a life-support machine at the ICU," said his best friend.

"Madun has not received many visits from his acting friends, perhaps because they are unaware of his condition.

"I am calling for the presence of his acting friends to be by his side to pray for his recovery," added the best friend.

Madun has starred in dramas for over 30 years, ever since the commencement of the national television, Radio Television Brunei (RTB).

According to friends, Madun could have acted in more than 100 local dramas as well as joint-venture and Memorandum of Understanding projects between RTB and other television channels outside the country.

To his fellow actors, Madun is known to be a cheerful person who joked and laughed a lot.

Apart from acting in television dramas, Madun is also a theatre actor, where he had acted in many Pentarama projects of the Information Department, Prime Minister's Office.
