Appointment of Acting Deputy Police Commissioner

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to appoint Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Dato Awg Hj Ghani, Director of Operations, as Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police.

Following is the full text of the press release from the Prime Minister's Office:

`By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister's Office hereby announces that His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented that Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Ghani bin Hj Omar, Director of Operations, be appointed as Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police while continuing on as the Director of Operations.
