Taurean Introduces Kelantan Cuisines
By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - Taurean Kopitiam at Jalan Batu Bersurat has introduced the popular Kelantan state cuisines of Ayam Percik and Basmanti Rice with Kelantan's Tumis sauce starting this month.

Due to the rarity of authentic traditional Kelantan cuisine in Brunei Darussalam, Mr Tony of Taurean came up with the idea of launching that special dish. To get the real taste of Kelantan, Mr Tony travelled to Kelantan, Malaysia a few months ago to learn the secret of Ayam Percik, one of Kelantan's popular dishes.

Placed on top of a banana leaf and adding a bit of Indian flavour to the Kelantan Dish, the Tauraen's Ayam Percik (freshly grilled) also comes together with Basmati Rice Kohinoor Brand), a special Indian Rice and Kelanta's Tumis sauce.

The Basmati rice is also mixed with assorted vegetables and spices like cucumber, lemongrass, dried coconut and onion and chillies to add more spice and flavour.

Only available at Taurean Kopitiam in the evening, the Kelantan cuisine has already received encouraging response from the public. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
