One Step Closer To Forming Breast-Feeding Support Group

Bandar Seri Begawan - A meeting to form a district-level breast-feeding support group was held on Monday at the Medical and Health Department in Tutong. It was attended by officers and staff from the hospital as well as Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in the district.

The acting chief executive officer of Tutong Hospital, Mohammad Haji Abd Hamid, who is also the chairperson of the committee, delivered a welcoming speech. This was followed by a briefing on the history of the breast-feeding project by Dr Kyin Win.

Meanwhile, the Head of O&G Department of RIPAS Hospital, Dr Hjh Roselina DP Hj Yaakub, touched on the importance of increasing the level of understanding and raising awareness of the benefits of breast-feeding to mothers and the community at large. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
