Royal Messages For Singapore National Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send congratulatory messages to President S.R. Nathan of Singapore and Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on the occasion of Singapore's National Day.

His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations and deep understanding that had so long been established between Brunei Darussalam and Singapore. His Majesty also said he values the bilateral relations.

His Majesty hoped that this would be maintained and enhanced in the future both at the bilateral level and in Asean for the good of the two countries and peoples.

His Majesty hoped that President Nathan and Prime Minister Lee would remain in good health and happiness and for the people of Singapore to enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has sent a congratulatory message to Singapore Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Yeo.

His Royal Highness said, "I have much pleasure in sending my congratulations to you and to the government and people of the Republic of Singapore on your country's 40"' National Day.
