QAF FC Win 7-Goal Thriller

Bandar Seri Begawan - QAF FC emerged victorious after they were involved in a seven-goal thriller against Indera FC winning 4-3 in a 2005 B-League Premier I match at the Belapan field last night.

Led by skipper Prince Abdul Qawi, QAF FC took the early lead as Ratano Hj Tuah fired home in the second minute after playing a neat one-two pass with Md HardymanAbd Lamit. They nearly doubled their advantage as skipper Prince Abdul Qawi's 20th minute header shook the woodwork.

A minute later, Indera FC hit back with a superb equalising goal scored through Muhd Karimurrizal Kasmi with a half volley to the roof of the net after taking advantage from a Sabri Md Alimi's mistake.

Then on the 25' minute, Indera FC skipper Shahrul Rizal Hj Abd Rahman converted a penalty to give his side a 2-1 lead after Mohd Safri Wahit brought down Ak Muhd Zulfadli Pg Hj Tajuddin earlier.

It was a good game of attacking football displayed by both sides providing end-to-end action throughout the game.

The match went back to square one on the 37th minute as Md Hardyman Abdul Lamit slotted home the QAF FC second after the Indera FC defence failed to clear a free kick delivered into the box.

QAF FC ended the half stronger as Viban Francis Bayong managed to make it 3-2 before the break, scoring from a one-on-one situation on the 45' minute after playing

a brilliant one-two with Prince Abdul Qawi before beating the offside trap.

Bayong managed to grab his second of the match on the 631 minute this time from a well-taken free kick curling the ball around the Indera FC wall of defenders before it hit the bottom left of goal as QAF FC led the game 4-2.

Indera FC reduced the deficit on the 70th minute as Ateraba Hj Abdul Rahman smashed home from 5 yards after the goalie Azaman Ilham Hj Md Noor fumbled his catch into Ateraba's path.

Radzuan Hj Chuchu nearly scored Indera FC's fourth but his free kick only managed to hit the woodwork as the game went on to finish with QAF FC winning the match at 4-3. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
