JPMC Dental Clinic Has Something Smile About

Bandar Seri Begawan - Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) Dental Clinic really has something to smile about. The unit recently increased its group of in-house specialists to improve services for patients' benefit.

The team now includes a dental surgeoncum-prosthodontist, an orthodontist, visiting consultant endodontist and implantologist, laboratory technicians, as well as hygienists and nurses. The fully equipped lab has also been upgraded to support any extensive work required.

In addition, there are new services offered like Prosthodontics (the replacement of missing or lost teeth with options of dentures, bridges or implants), Orthodontics (correction of irregularly placed teeth with braces), Endodontics (root canal treatment or the removal of tooth pulp to avoid extraction) and Implantology (a surgical procedure with the latest technology).

The Head of Department, Dr Murali Rao, said that his experts are ready to take on greater challenges and provide locals with the best dental care.

He also mentioned that JPMC is currently looking into further expansion and in the midst of introducing Periodontics and Oral Surgery among others. Bruneians can look forward to this and it would hopefully reduce the need to travel for special treatments. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
