Education Authorities Seek Blessings To Stop Hysteria

Bandar Seri Begawan - In a bid to bring peace to schools whose students had been gripped by hysteria recently, more than 80 people including the Deputy Minister of Education attended an Al-Quran recital ceremony at the Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri (STPRI) in the capital Thursday night seeking the blessings ofAlmighty Allah to provide peace and calm to the students.

Apart from Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad, the Deputy Minister of Education, the recital of the Al-Quran including the Surah Yassin was also participated by 40 students of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The recital of the verses of the Islamic Holy Book was meant to provide peace to the students that experienced the strange phenomena.

The Weekend was told that the recital of the Al-Quran will be carried out on a regular basis at the school. The same religious ceremony will also be performed at the Sekolah Rendah Raja Isteri Fatimah (SRRIF) which had reported two such incidents last Wednesday.
