PR Remanded For Carrying Rifle

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday sent a 36-yearold permanent resident to two weeks' remand for allegations of possessing a rifle without licence.

Mohammad Jamri bin Abdullah/Mawan is facing a charge of possessing a rifle without a licence on August 2, this year in Temburong.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Hjh Anifa Rafiza told the court the defendant was arrested in a car by Temburong police two days ago.

The defendant will be brought again before the court on August 17 for further mention of the case. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
