Hundreds Register For 3G Trial
By H Bat

Bandar Seri Begawan - Hundreds of people flocked to the B-Mobile counters at the Old Airport in Berakas to register for the new 3 G system, which is currently on trial, and to get free 3G SIM card with credit worth $500.

B-Mobile was formed as a joint venture by Telekom Brunei Berhad and QAF Comserve after the Brunei Government awarded the second mobile phone licence in February this year.

The 3G system offers more benefits to customers such as roaming capability, video mobile phone, ubiquitous wireless broadband access and high-speed data communication.

The mobile phone community is eagerly awaiting the results of the 3G trial. Retailers are hoping for a boom in the sales of 3Gcapable mobiles, while consumers can't wait to use the more sophisticated technology offered by 3G. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
