Chung Hwa To Hold ‘Mandarin
Language Going International' Forum Tomorrow

Begawan - Members of the public are invited to join a special
forum entitled "Mandarin Language Going International" at Chung Hwa
Middle School's Hall in BSB from 7.30pm tomorrow.
To be organised by the academic
institution, it will feature a number of experts sharing their
knowledge and experiences with participants on the topic.
One of the speakers will be Professor
Khoo, who has said that besides English and Spanish, Mandarin is
becoming one of the world's most studied languages.
There will also be three other
conductors. Rosmarie from Australia is a graduate from Nanyang
University in China who had also received a CTEFL English Language
Education Certificate from Oxford University.
A newscaster from RTB's Mandarin
section, Kay Kumushay Hudaverdi, will also be present to talk about
her passion for the language. H r qualifications include completing a
five-year course in the subject at Beijing Language Learning Centre.
Meanwhile, BSB's HSBC branch manager,
Ms Anna has stayed in Beijing since childhood with her father, a
diplomat for the British High Commission in China.
Principal Madam Kho disclosed that
there will also be the 6th SEA Manadarin Language Dialogue, for which
scholars from the region are being invited. --
