enough to win prizes were Alfred Sim for placing 9th in the Overall
Individual Gross, Jimmy Voon for the 9th place in the Overall

pup.
A total of 256 senior golfers from

Darussalam took part in the three-day meet where the Senior Golfers
Society of Malaysia made a clean sweep of all the top honours.
With the largest contingent of 75
participants, they won the champion trophy for the Individual Open
Nett, Individual Open Gross, Team Gross and Team Nett.
The first day of the meet at the
internationally renowned Palm Course at Saujana Golf & Country Club in
which Tiger Woods played in the World Cup took a great toll on most of
the golfers.
The second day at the Glenmarie Golf
& Country Club saw better results and a number of Brunei participants
had better scorings on the third day when play was resumed at Saujana.
The 23rd championship will be hosted
by the Federation of Philippine Amateur Senior Golfers in November
next year in Manila. --
