Swiss Tourists To Promote Brunei
Bandar Seri
Begawan – Two tourists from Switzerland who were on a two-week
holiday in Brunei Darussalam had the opportunity to witness the
celebrations of His Majesty's 59"' birthday in the four districts.
Mr
Reto Kuster and Ms Maya Santschi also visited places of interests in
Brunei such as Kampong Ayer, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, lame'
Asr Hassanii Bolkiah Mosque, the Royal Regalia Museum, Jerudong Park &
Country Club Playground, Tasek Merimbun in Tutong District, Kuala
Belalong Forest Reserve in Temburong District and many more.
They also made a trip to Kuala Balai
in the Belait District. They were greeted on arrival by Haji Busu b.
Ahmad and his family. They were taken on a tour around Kg Kuala Balai
by boat and visited the model Belait Ethnic House, which was built by
the Re-built Committee of Kg Kuala Balai in 2004.
Mr
Kuster did some research around Kg Kuala Balai and will be writing
about the village and the Sultanate in an international magazine.
He is confident that this will help
promote tourism as Brunei has tremendous potential to be a great
family destination with its peaceful and relaxing environment.
He hoped that his next trip to Brunei
will be with a group of tourists. --
