Brunei To Host Visiting Indonesian
Big Bikers

Begawan - The Brunei Darussalam Motorcycles Association (PEMODA)
will play host to the White Club (motorcycle club) from Indonesia on
August 14.
The Indonesian group comprising 60
members, who will be riding 30 big bikes such as Harley Davidsons,
Hondas and BMWs, will join PEMODA members in participating in a bike
show at The Mall, Gadong on the same day at 2 pm.

Abu Bakar bin Hj. Md. Asrad, President of PEMODA, said the visit is
organised in conjunction with Indonesia's Independence Day that falls
on August 17.
It is aimed at fostering closer
cooperation and understanding between PEMODA members and the
Indonesian riders. Their visit is also expected to strengthen ties
between the people of both countries. They will also tour places of
interest in the country.
The Indonesian bikers will start
riding their big bikes from Jakarta, board a ferry to Pontianak, and
continue their ride to Kuching, Miri and finally Brunei. The journey
from Pontianak to Brunei will cover more than 1,000 km.
When they reach Sungai Tujoh Control
Post, the Indonesian big bikers will be escorted by PEMODA members to
the CentrePoint Hotel in Gadong.

Abu Bakar urged PEMODA members to wait at Sungai Tujoh Control Post to
welcome the Indonesian delegation. PEMODA has about 400 members.
