Frequent Travel Card Mulled At Meeting
By CT Hj Mahmod

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Fourth Technical Group Meeting on FTC (Frequent Traveller Card) will be held today between the Acting Director at Brunei's Immigration & National Registration Department and their Malaysian counterparts, who will be co-chairing the meeting.

The pilot FTC project, designed for both Bruneians and Malaysians who travel frequently between neighbouring countries, was scheduled to take place last

April but due to technical problems the pilot project has been postponed to next year.

A demonstration of the FTC will take place today at the Sungai Tujoh Control Post, after the Fourth Technical Group Meeting.

A six-month pilot project will be conducted at the Sungai Tujoh Control Post, and pending the development of the pilot project after the trial test, officials will launch the FTC card at both Sungai Tujoh and Kuala Lurah control post. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
