High Quality Research For Excellent Standards In Linguistics

Bandar Seri Begawan – With high quality research, higher learning institutions can upgrade the excellent standards in linguistics and internationalise research results.

This was stressed by Datin Hajah Jahrah, the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, at the opening of the Annual Seminar organised by the Malay Language and Linguistics Separtment of Universiti Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

Datin Hajah Jahrah said knowledge is the sea of information without boundaries especially in the digital era that we are in, including knowledge of language and linguistics.

Therefore, it is a must to do research and investigation in order to put the language to work.

The two-day seminar is being attended by more than 100 teachers from schools throughout the country and UBD graduates.
