Senior Civil Servants Briefed On Finance Regulation

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Ministry of Finance has conducted a series of briefings on Finance Regulation to ensure that regulations pertaining to finance be better understood and adhered to by all government officers.

The ongoing effort is directed to other ministries and departments.

A similar briefing was held yesterday for senior officers in the Ministry of Defence.

Pehin Dato Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent secretary at the Ministry of Finance, said that the briefing was designed to enhance the knowledge level in financial field and other matters related to it.

Among the matters discussed were budget processing, finance regulation, working discipline, audit affairs and work ethics according to Islam.

This proactive step was especially catered for senior government officers, including heads of department and officers tasked to handle finance management and government properties.
