Motivation And Counselling Course
For Police Personnel

Begawan – The Royal Brunei Police Force organised a Motivation
and Counselling Workshop in its effort to overcome work-related
problems ranging from punctuality to lack of commitment and marital
problems among personnel.
Awang
Haji Mohd Salleh Bin Haji Mohiddin, Director of Administration and
Financial Department of the Royal Brunei Police, in his welcoming
speech, stressed the need for any work-related problems to be
contained in its earlier stage before the situation gets worse.
Such problems, he said, could be
overcome by means of taking disciplinary actions as stated under the
Police General Order, the Public Service General Order and the related
circulars.
He also highlighted the importance of
counselling in motivating officers, lower rank and civilian staff to
possess a positive work ethic.
Present at the workshop was Dato
Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, the Commissioner of Police.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Ee
Ah Meng, a counselling specialist.
He, among others, touched on the
benefits of counselling which can help personnel in generating a
positive attitude that improves individual problem.
