Malaysian Air Force Chief Honoured
For Service To Brunei

Begawan – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan of
Brunei, bestowed the Honorary Pilot Wing to the Chief the Malaysian
Royal Air Force.
The Honorary Pilot Wing was presented
to General Datuk Nik Ismail bin Nik Mohammad by the Commander of the
Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Pehin Major General Dato Haji Awang Halbi.
The honour was in recognition of his
outstanding service, valuable efforts and contributions.
The Chief of the Malaysian Royal Air
Faces has contributed profoundly to the betterment of relationship and
enhancement of cooperation between Malaysia and Brunei.
Furthermore, he played a vital role
in fostering friendship and cooperation among ASEAN Air Forces for
regional peace and stability.
The presentation took place yesterday
at the Royal Brunei Air Forces in Tungku, Gadong.
In the afternoon, the Chief of the
Royal Malaysian Air Force paid a courtesy call on the Commander of
Royal Brunei Armed Forces at the Ministry of Defence, Bolkiah
Garrison.
The bilateral relationship between
the Royal Brunei Air Force and the Royal Malaysian Air Force has grown
extensively with regards to exchange visits, courses, meetings and
exercises.
General Datuk Nik Ismail and members
of delegation are expected to depart Brunei today.
