More Thefts Of Mobile Phones, So Man Stays Behind Bars

Bandar Seri Begawan – An alleged mobile phone thief is to stay behind bars.

The Magistrates’ Court yesterday sent a local for further remand when he pleaded guilty to three more charges of phone thefts yesterday morning.

Prosecuting officer Noradinah Hj Ramlee preferred three new charges against Noorazmi Sariang @ Lampoh saying he is firstly charged with having stolen a Nokia 8210 mobile phone, a Nokia 5210 and a Playstation belonging to 43-year-old Dk Taisah Pg Hashim at No. 30 C Barek Kecemasan in Tasek Lama sometime in July last year.

Secondly he is charged with stealing a Motorola cd928 mobile phone belonging to Evi Rahayu, 25, on June 16 at about 12.30 pm at Nurul Saloon in Jalan Pasir Berakas.

He is facing a third charge of having committed the theft of a Nokia 5210 mobile phone belonging to Shaiful Hj Asri, 29, on August 2 at about 6.30 pm near Complex Yayasan Jetty in Bandar Seri Begawan.

The prosecution told the court that Noorazmi has several previous criminal records. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
