Tanker 'Crash' In Seria, 11
'Injured'

Seria
- Eleven people including two women and an infant were
“injured” in blaze near the Brunei Shell Petroleum Company's refinery
plant in Seria yesterday morning.
Fire broke out when an oil pipe burst
after being rammed by an oil tanker trying to avoid a collision with
two vehicles from the opposite direction.
But the scenario was not real. It was
only a mock emergency exercise conducted by the Brunei Shell Petroleum
Company.
The exercise dubbed "Letup" was
conducted at Jalan Tengah Seria yesterday morning.
It involved more than 100 personnel
of the Fire Brigade, police and health apart from BSP Company's Fire
Department and a number of safety-related agencies.
