Indon divas in concert

The performance will be held at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas on September 1. The concert is organised by Progressive Link Enterprise, Plaza Athirah in Mile 1, Jalan Tutong.

Mayang Sari has quite a following here with the song Tiada Lagi (No More) while Ikke Nurjanah is well-known for her dangdut songs.

The 1960s diva, Ernie Djohan will be the emcee.

The concert is being held in conjunction with Visit Brunei Year 2001. There will also be cultural dances performed by the Citra Seni Brunei Group and DKS Dancers said the director of Progressive Link Enterprise, Dra Raden L Anastasya.

"Apart from the Indonesian divas, local guest artists such as Fathan Hj Anuar, the singing magistrate and Norzurina, the winner of Bintang RTB in 1995 will also perform," she said.

A professional band from Jakarta, Indonesia, Alfuru Band will accompany the performances.

Tickets costing $50, $30, $20 and $10 can be purchased from Progressive Link, Room 212 in Athirah Plaza, Ethnic's Gallery in Shakirin Complex, Kiulap, Bismi Trading in Gadong, Zuleana Enterprise, Darussalam Complex, Restoran Liyana in Kiulap and Pondok Seri Wangi in Gadong, Sengkurong and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
