Prince's UK abode makes news
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Prince Jefri.
His Royal Highness Prince Jefri
Bolkiah now shares the honour of having the most expensive house in
London with John Fredriksen, the Norwegian owner of the Frontline
company, who has bought the Old Rectory in Chelsea, London from the
Greek family of Theodore Angelopoulos for more than 40m.
Prince Jefri had bought St John's
Lodge in Regent's Park in London for more than 40m six years ago.
It is the latest in a series of
spectacular residential sales in London.
At least five houses have been sold
for more than 10m in the past five months. They include properties in
Knightsbridge and one in Belgravia, which sold for more than 20m.
Another house formerly owned by Prince Jefri, No 5 Holland Park, has
been sold for 10m, half the asking amount of 20m.
That still leaves London's most
expensive house on the market, No 18-19 Kensington Palace Gardens,
which has an area of 55,000 square feet with 9,000 square feet covered
in marble, with no buyer.
The asking price is 80m.
