Warning On SMS Scam

Bandar Seri Begawan - Nokia Malaysia warned the public on hoax messages on a mobile phone promotion sent via SMS in the name of Nokia and Nokia Malaysia.

The public complained to the Borneo Bulletin recently that they received a Nokia, SMS saying "Congratulations! Your Mobile Number has won Euro 900,000 in the ongoing Nokia Mobile Promo".

Nokia said it regretted the inconvenience caused to its customers and the public by the action of certain individuals who have perpetrated these hoax messages. It advised the public not to respond to these messages or any messages that could be a scam. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
