Malaysian FM visits Brunei

Kuala Lumpur - Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim today departed for Bandar Seri Begawan for a three-day introductory visit to Brunei.

The visit is part of a tradition by newly appointed Asean foreign ministers to visit their counterparts after assuming office, said a statement from the ministry faxed to Bernama here.

During the visit, Dr Rais is expected to meet his counterpart, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah and will have an audience with His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
