Belait Primary Teachers Attend Science Enrichment Workshop

Seria - Seventy primary school teachers from 15 government schools in the BelaitDistrict took part in a two-day Science Enrichment Workshop at the Seria Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) yesterday afternoon. The workshop will end today afternoon.

Organised by the school Principal and Assistant Principal Committee, the workshop aims to boost teachers' knowledge and experience towards more effective science teaching.

The workshop is also held to increase the teachers' creativity in preparing activities that would instil students' interest in learning science as well as to foster closer relationship and promote teamwork in the execution of the activities.

Yesterday's workshop consisted of icebreaking and team building activities such as portable skills and Ameoba race.

And today, teachers will learn more about creativity and leadership and will be involved in technology-challenge activities such as the science of water rocket and exhibits investigation activities. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
