Awg Hj Johari New Penghulu For Mukim Serasa

Bandar Seri Begawan - The acting village head of Kg Kapok, Mejar (Rtd) Awg Hj Johari Hj Abd Razak, has been appointed as the new Penghulu Mukim of Mukim Serasa in the BruneiMuara District.

The appointment - certificate presentation ceremony was held over the weekend at Awg Hj Johari's residence in Kg Kapok.

The chief guest at the function was Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Pin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Awg Hj Dani.

Also present was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, Pg Hj Abd Harris; the Brunei-Muara District Officer, Dato Paduka Hj Md Yussof Bakar; and officers from the Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as residents from the Mukim.

The highlight of the function was the signing of the appointment letter by the new Penghulu.

Before being appointed to the post, Awg Hj Johari was the acting village head of Kg Kapok for three years. He served with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for 25 years. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
