Benefits Of Compulsory Saving Explained

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Employees Trust Fund or Tabung Amanah Pekerja gave a briefing to Belait chiefs and heads of villages and longhouses on TAP's functions and roles as a social security organisation.

It is TAP's vision to give the best national savings and social scheme in Brunei Darussalam. Its mission is to help members to save and optimise retirement funds, said Awang Irwandy bin Haji Lois, Corporate Communication Manager.

Setting up TAP is in line with His Majesty's aspirations to support the interests of senior citizens and residents through a compulsory savings scheme for financial security after retirement for employees in the government or private sector, he said.

Following the briefing, the village chiefs and heads of villages would pass on the information to residents within their leadership. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
