$1,200 Fine For Consuming Drugs

Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man was fined $1,200 or in default three months' imprisonment by the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday after he pleaded guilty to consuming controlled drugs.

Khairul Rizal Hj Bungsu, 34, who is a first offender, admitted to consuming a class A controlled drug, Methylamphetamine.

The defendant was arrested by Narcotics Officers on April 14, 2005 at his house in Kampong Perpindahan Lambak Kiri. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
