Maktab Duli Students Meet Anne Fine

Bandar Seri Begawan - Jerudong International School yesterday invited some 40 students from Maktab Duli PMAMB to meet with award-winning author Anne Fine.

The group was led by Cikgu Hajah Siti Salawati.

Meanwhile, Fine said she was impressed by the hospitality of the people, and described Brunei as "gentle and beautiful".

Fine, who penned "Mrs Doubtfire", "Flour Babies", "Google Eyes", and "Stories of Jamie and Angus", advised aspiring writers to "read, read, read. Same advice as Robert Louis Stevenson gave over 100 years ago". -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
