Top Holds Financial Planning Talk At UBD

Bandar Seri Begawan - In conjunction with its 15th anniversary and financial planning roadshow month, Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP) held a talk for 100 undergraduates of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) at the Students Affairs Building yesterday.

At the talk, TAP speaker from Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam's Investment Section, Awg Zulhazransa Hj Emran, delivered a briefing on the concept of financial planning from the Islamic perspectives.

TAP also invited a representative from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Awg Hj Wahab Hj Sapar, to present a talk on the responsibilities of carrying out zakat or tithe, its categories and savings.

By asserting the importance of financial planning and zakat prior to starting their career, it is hoped that UBD undergraduates will now have a better understanding of how to manage their finances. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
