Tutong's Natural Disaster Fund Receives Donations

Bandar Seri Begawan - Twelve committee members of the Consultative Council of Kampong Keriam, Keriam Malay Association (PESAKA) and the Takmir committee members of Kampong Keriam Mosque, Tutong recently presented donations to the Natural Disaster Fund of Tutong District at the Tutong District Office's conference room.

Prior to the handing over of donations, a welcoming and appreciation speech were delivered by Awg Metussin bin Orang Kaya Sura, Acting Temburong District Officer, followed by a speech by Awg Ahanapi bin Hj Mahadi, President of PESAKA.

The donations collected were proceeds from a walkathon charity project, which was held by the Takmir committee members of Kampong Keriam Mosque with the help from the committee members of the Consultative Council of Kampong Keriam and Takbir PESAKA.

The presentation of donations was aimed at assisting flood victims in the Temburong District.

The members also visited Kampong Senukoh in Temburong to observe the villagers' activities, as well as to strengthen ties. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
