Kg Kasat ‘A’ Mosque Wins Youth Dikir Competition

Bandar Seri Begawan - Kampong Kasat `A' Mosque dikir group was crowned champion of the 6th Youth Dikir Syarafil Anam Competition at Kampong Kasat Mosque.

Organised by the Takmir committee of Kampong Kasat Mosque, a total of eight groups participated in the competition, representing various mosques in the Brunei-Muara District.

Winning second place in the competition was Kampong Pengkalan Batu Mosque dikir group and in third place was the RIPAS Mosque Kampung Rimba group.

On hand to present the prizes was the guest of honour, Dato Paduka Awang Hj Jemat bin Hj Ampal, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Also in attendance were the Legislative Council members and Awg Hj Bakar Mansor, Penghulu of Mukim Lumapas.

The event also saw a Tausyeh performance performed by students from the al-Quran and Muqaddam classes of Kampong Kasat Mosque, which was led by Awg Muhammad Aqilul Mustagim Hj Makshud. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
