2 NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Kandahar - NATO's International Security Assistance Force says two of its soldiers have been killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan.

The alliance says two other soldiers were wounded in the blast on Sunday.

NATO did not say which country the soldiers came from or where the blast occurred. Britain, Canada, the United States and the Netherlands all have a significant number of forces in the south.

NATO announced the deaths on Monday, the same day Taliban militants attacked a checkpoint in Kandahar, killing 11 policemen. -- Associated Press
